Iranian people eager for freedom

Former Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird

Former Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird

Washington Times, Former Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird spoke in front of some 100,000 Iranian supporters of the NCRI in Paris on July 9, 2016. Foreign Minister Baird said: The great struggle of our generation is the struggle against terrorism, and the regime in Tehran is by far the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world. Over the years, billions of dollars have left Tehran to sow fear, violence, death and destruction. From Assad’s war against his own people, to a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, from a plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in Washington, to arming Hezbollah with missiles targeting civilians in Israel, we must call the mullahs out on it.
The people of Iran suffer each and every day under this regime… We must call out this slick public relations campaign for what it is: a lie. We have so many allies in the fight against this brutal regime. But you know who our biggest ally in this struggle is? Friends, it is the people of Iran. Make no mistake whatsoever that the people of Iran do not support this regime and they want to see it overthrown. Each and every one of us need to stand in solidarity with the people of Iran and come together and state clearly that the notion that Hassan Rouhani is a moderate or is a reformer, simply put, is a fraud.

No foreign investment flowing into Iran

As the old adage goes, capital is a coward. And the Islamic Republic is a haunted house.
They call themselves the leaders of Iranian people!!

When Iran and global powers signed a nuclear deal last year, supporters and detractors agreed on one thing: the accord would get billions of investment dollars flowing into the the so called Islamic Republic. The only question was how much,Bloomberg said
The answer so far -- 'not much' -- is infuriating Iranian officials, who are demanding more U.S. concessions, including access to dollar-denominated trades, after curbing their nuclear program. In the U.S., opponents of the original agreement are warning against any further easing of restrictions, vowing to hold up Treasury Department nominees to ensure it doesn’t happen.
“The deal was so contentious for both parties that the acrimony after the implementation is to be expected,” said Elizabeth Rosenberg, a senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security in Washington. “There are active detractors that are trying to collapse the deal.”
$55 Billion
The U.S. estimates that $3 billion of $55 billion in frozen assets that are supposed to be released to Iran has made it back to Tehran so far. Iranian officials -- who say they need the money to buy airliners, improve infrastructure and boost a struggling economy -- say European and Asian banks are reluctant to deal with them because they fear U.S. sanctions.
The House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Senate Banking Committee are discussing the Iran deal, completed last July, in separate hearings Wednesday. Acting Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Adam Szubin, whose Senate confirmation to the post has been held up for more than a year, is testifying before both committees.
 ‘Illicit Conduct’
However, some Iranian entities, including about 200 individuals and companies associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards,(IRGC),  are still off-limits under remaining U.S. sanctions that punish Iran for its support for terrorism, launching and testing ballistic missiles and human-rights abuses. The U.S. also maintains a prohibition on Iran accessing the U.S. financial system, including conducting transactions in U.S. dollars.
“The Iranians thought they’d get more help from the banks,” said Matthew Levitt, a former deputy assistant secretary of Treasury. “As long as they engage in illicit conduct, they’re going to find banks not willing to engage with them.”
Worried that the Obama administration’s efforts will go too far, Republican Senators Marco Rubio and Mark Kirk warned Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew in a May 19 letter that they will hold up Treasury Department nominees until they receive assurances that “the U.S. will not enable Iranian access to U.S. dollars elsewhere in the international financial system, including assisting Iran in gaining access to dollar payment systems outside the U.S. financial system.”
Banking Fines
Major non-U.S. banks remain wary after paying $15 billion in fines and signing settlements for violating earlier U.S. sanctions. French bank BNP Paribas SA agreed to pay $8.9 billion in July 2014 for violating U.S. sanctions against Sudan, Cuba and Iran. Germany’s Commerzbank AG agreed to pay $1.45 billion for moving funds through the U.S. financial system for Sudan and Iran.
That history makes doing business with Iran a hard sell, despite U.S. assurances.
“Promotion of banking and commercial activity in that environment is completely anathema to the message the U.S. government has been sending internationally for last 15 years,” said Juan Zarate, chairman of the Financial Integrity Network who was a White House adviser on combating terrorism under President George W. Bush.
While attacking critics of the Iran deal for having overestimated how much money would flow to the Islamic Republic, the Obama administration has also said that Iran’s behavior may be stifling investment.
Hezbollah Support
“If you were routinely testing ballistic missiles that violate the United Nations ’ sanctions that govern your ballistic missile program, well, that’s not going to inspire the confidence of business leaders that this is a safe place to do business,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters May 12. “If you are supporting terrorism around the world, that’s not going to be particularly persuasive to business leaders that Iran is a good place to make an investment.”
Iran continues to provide financial and military support for the Hezbollah militia in Lebanon, which is listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. The Treasury Department is trying to cut off funding to the group, whose soldiers are in Syria defending President Bashar al-Assad against U.S.-backed rebels.
“We are taking action to keep Hezbollah out of the U.S. financial system,” said Daniel Glaser, Assistant Treasury Secretary for Terrorist Financing. “We want to disrupt Hezbollah’s use of the international financial system and stop their access to our financial system.”
The Financial Action Task Force, a 34-government agency sponsored by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, has also cited Iran for flouting efforts to stop money laundering and terrorism finance. The only other country on the list: North Korea.
To really draw investment, Iran needs to embrace wholesale economic and political reform, said Suzanne Maloney, a senior analyst at the Brookings Institution.
“Tehran’s challenges in luring capital is further complicated by its reputation for provocative domestic and regional behavior,” Maloney wrote in a May 20 report. “As the old adage goes, capital is a coward. And the Islamic Republic is a haunted house.”

Kerry: most of Hezbollah’s arms come from Iran

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry speaks during his meeting with Saudi Arabias Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir in London January 14, 2016

John Kerry  with Saudi Arabias Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir

U.S. Secretary of State Johan Kerry expressed concerns about Iran’s military support to the Shiite Lebanese Movement of Hezbollah in a joint press conference with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir on Saturday.
Kerry said most of Hezbollah’s arms come from Iran through Syria to Lebanon and that the group has about 80 thousand missiles.
Hezbollah, which has long been listed as a terrorist organization by the United States, has offered key support to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
The United States and Saudi Arabia have both criticized and denounced Hezbollah’s support to Assad’s regime after protests erupted in Syria against the embattled leader’s rule in 2011 but turned into a civil war.
From his part, Jubeir said the Gulf States are working with Washington to face Iranian interference in the region and emphasized that the region’s stability requires Tehran stopping its aggression.
Saudi Arabia and its Gulf counterparts repeatedly denounced Iranian interference in their internal affairs.
Jubeir also said that Saudi Arabia does not see a “coming together” of Iran and the United States, which is well aware of Tehran’s regional “mischief.”
“No, I don’t see a coming together of the United States and Iran. Iran remains the world’s chief sponsor of terrorism,” he said.
“Overall I think the United States is very aware of the danger of Iran’s mischief and nefarious activities... I don’t believe the United States is under any illusion as to what type of government Iran is,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kerry also said after talks with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states in Saudi Arabia that he was confident Syria peace talks would proceed.
“We are confident that with good initiative in the next day or so those talks can get going and that the U.N. representative special envoy Staffan De Mistura will be convening people in an appropriate manner for the proximity talks that will be the first meeting in Geneva,” he told reporters in Riyadh.
Kerry also said there was agreement that immediately after the first round of talks the International Support Group on Syria would convene.
Kerry began a stop in Riyadh by meeting with representatives of the six nations of the GCC, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
He is also due to have talks with Riad Hijab, chair of the Syrian opposition’s High Negotiations Committee, which was formed in Saudi Arabia last month, amid uncertainty about whether Syrian peace talks slated to start next week in Geneva will take place.
The Saudi-backed Syrian opposition ruled out even indirect negotiations with Damascus before preconditions are met, including a halt to Russian air strikes, contradicting Kerry’s hopes for talks to start next week

Adel Al-Jubeir: Saudi Arabia will not allow Iran to undermine our security or the security of our allies

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir

Jeddah, Arab News, 19 January 2016 - “Saudi Arabia will not allow Iran to undermine our security or the security of our allies. We will push back against attempts to do so,” Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir said in an op-ed published in the New York Times on Tuesday.
“The world is watching Iran for signs of change, hoping it will evolve from a rogue revolutionary state into a respectable member of the international community,” he said, adding that Tehran had a hostile policy toward its neighbors that would only cause more violence in the region.
“But Iran, rather than confronting the isolation it has created for itself, opts to obscure its dangerous sectarian and expansionist policies, as well as its support for terrorism, by leveling unsubstantiated charges against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” he said.
Al-Jubeir said Saudi Arabia and its Gulf allies had no option but to continue resisting Iran’s expansionist ideology and responding forcefully to its acts of aggression.
“Superficially, Iran may appear to have changed … Certainly, we know that a large segment of the Iranian population wants greater openness internally and better relations with neighboring countries and the world. But the government does not,” he said, adding that its behavior has been the same since the 1979 revolution.
“The constitution that Iran adopted states the objective of exporting the revolution. As a consequence, Iran has supported violent extremist groups, including Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen and sectarian militias in Iraq,” said the foreign minister.
He said Iran or its proxies have been blamed for terrorist attacks around the world, including the bombings of the United States Marine barracks in Beirut in 1983, the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia in 1996, and the assassinations in the Mykonos restaurant in Berlin in 1992. And by some estimates Iranian-backed forces have killed over 1,100 American troops in Iraq since 2003.
Iran uses attacks on diplomatic sites as an instrument of its foreign policy, he said, citing the 1979 takeover of the American Embassy in Tehran and the embassies of Britain, Denmark, Kuwait, France and Russia. The most recent incident involved Saudi Arabia’s missions in Iran, he said.
Touching on the Syrian crisis and the Iranian intervention in the war-torn country, Al-Jubeir said: “It is clear why Iran wants Bashar Assad of Syria to remain in power: In its 2014 report on terrorism, the State Department wrote that Iran views Syria ‘as a crucial causeway to its weapons supply route to Hezbollah.’”
“The report also noted, citing United Nations data, that Iran provided arms, financing and training “to support the Assad regime’s brutal crackdown that has resulted in the deaths of at least 191,000 people.”
The same report for 2012 noted that there was “a marked resurgence of Iran’s state sponsorship of terrorism,” with Iranian and Hezbollah’s terrorist activity “reaching a tempo unseen since the 1990s.”
He also underlined the Iranian support of Houthi militias for the takeover of Yemen. A process he described as having caused the war that has killed thousands. The minister said while Iran claims its top foreign policy priority is friendship, its behavior shows the opposite is true.
“Iran is the single-most-belligerent-actor in the region, and its actions display both a commitment to regional hegemony and a deeply held view that conciliatory gestures signal weakness either on Iran’s part or on the part of its adversaries,” he said.
Moreover, Al-Jubeir said Iran continues to violate international agreements. “In that vein, Iran tested a ballistic missile on Oct. 10, just months after reaching an agreement on its nuclear program, in violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions. In December, an Iranian military ship fired a missile near American and French vessels in international waters,” he said.
“Saudi Arabia has been a victim of terrorism, often at the hands of Iran’s allies. Our country is on the front line of fighting terrorism, working closely with our allies. Saudi Arabia has arrested thousands of terrorism suspects and prosecuted hundreds. Our fight against terrorism is continuing as we lead multinational efforts to pursue those who participate in terrorist activities, those who fund them and those who foment the mind-set that promotes extremism,” he said.
“The real question is whether Iran wants to live by the rules of the international system, or remain a revolutionary state committed to expansion and to defiance of international law. In the end, we want an Iran that works to solve problems in a way that allows people to live in peace. But that will require major changes in Iran’s policy and behavior. We have yet to see that,” he said.

Let us cut the head of the serpent in Tehran

By Iran Reporter
May 26, 2015

Major General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the terrorist Quds Force responsible for several assassinations in Iraq , Syria and other Arab countries , who provides the urgent interests  of the Islamic Republic of Ali Khamenei the supreme leader of Iranian fundamentalists abroad, has claimed that Iran should help countries suffering at the hands of Islamic State!!
"Today, to analyze this dangerous phenomenon, most of the humanitarian activists in the Middle East know that Quds Force is present in all Arab countries  and lead proxy war for the benefit of the Iranian Mullahs .
The Iranian opposition group who is led by Maryam Rajavi and has a political branch in Paris in the name of National council of resistance has named the ruling mullahs in Iran as the God father of terrorism in Middle east in the first step and in the world in general.
Al-Arabiya news agency along with Aljazeera and orient and several others ha broadcasted several journals and reviled the close links between ISIS in Iraq and Syria and the Iranian regime. ISIS follows the path of Iranian Ayatollahs by imitating what they have done to their own people during the past decades. Al-Arabiya T.V has reviled Iranian regime and his close links with terrorist groups by asking this major question "why the terrorist groups have never done one single operation in Iran while we hear about tens of military operations in the Arab countries? "Arab observers answer the question very simply. Terrorist - groups do not deceive their boss!!
Soleimani, whose force is part of Iran's fundamentalist Guards Corps (IRGC) claims that Obama has not done a damn thing so far to confront ISIS (Daesh) in Ramadi in Iraq but he doesn't say what in the Iranian regime searching in Iraq and Syria and Lebanon and Yemen and etc. ?
This question comes to my mind , why Soleimani and his master , Ali Khamenei who name the United States of America the grate Devil, come to the stage to have a dialogue with the so- called the grate Devil?
The answer is very simple. If you look at the Syrian and Iraqi map , Assad has loosed Two third of the country .The Sunni militant group has taken key cities such as Al-anbar , the strategic Iraqi state neighboring to Jordon and Saudi Arabia in the past week, routing regular forces in both countries with apparent ease.
At the same time, The Obama administration has led air strikes against the Sunni militant group and provided assistance to the Iraqi army but they could not defeat the Sunni rebels.
Iranian officials frequently cite such actions as a justification for their support of Bashar al-Assad, whose forces have also carried out mass killings since the beginning of an initially peaceful popular uprising in 2011.
"They believe that they should immunize their borders against great evil by helping those minorities in every Arab countries , to be able to expand their Islamic monarchy of their own. to reach to this goal , they have sacrificed and still sacrificing the lives of hundreds of thousands of human lives in Iraq to Syria and other neighboring Arab countries.
To save the region, the national community should cut the head of the serpent in Tehran

Some Senators and U.S. national security experts criticize Obamas policy on Iran as dangerous, for having failed to stop Tehran’s nuclear weapons program and its support for terrorism in the region.
Now it is the turn of DecisiveStorm, led by Saudi Arabia to put an end to Iranian terrorism. So, let us cut the head of the serpent in Tehran.

Iran has stopped its financial assistance for Arab mercenaries

By Iran Reporter

Sunday, 24 May 2015

Iran has stopped its financial assistance for the Islamic Jihad, Al-Quds newspaper reported on Tuesday. The severing of ties has led the group's Secretary General, to leave Tehran, where he had been trying to sort out the problems with the government, and head for Beirut.

The government in Tehran has taken this step, said Gaza-based Islamic Jihad official Jamil Abdul-Nabi, because of the movement's refusal to adopt a clear position in support of Iran's involvement in Yemen. Despite its pro-Assad position, Islamic Jihad has asserted repeatedly that it is taking a neutral position regarding the Yemeni issue. Attempts by Hezbollah to mediate between Islamic Jihad and Tehran have failed, sources told the Palestinian newspaper.

According to Al-Quds, the Palestinian movement has been looking for new sponsors, without success. It is facing a severe financial crisis and has closed the head office of its main satellite TV channel, Palestine Today, and cut the number of employees in its office in Gaza. It has also dismissed dozens of employees in other locations and has not paid full salaries for the others for about four months.

The newspaper claimed that internal divisions within the movement are also responsible for the Iranian decision to end the funding. One of its senior officials in Gaza, Hisham Salem, has established a new group called "Al-Saberoon", which is in full ideological and political agreement with Iran. Its members, apparently, get paid full salaries every month. Al-Quds said that it could not get any of the Islamic Jihad leaders to comment on this.

U.S. Special Operations forces killed a senior ISIS commander during a raid intended to capture him in eastern Syria overnight Friday to Saturday, U.S. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter said.
The ISIS commander, Abu Sayyaf, fought capture and was killed in the raid in Omar oil wells in the state of Dayr –alzoor in Syria.

The Iranian opposition group who is led by Maryam Rajavi and has a political branch in Paris in the name of NCRI (National council of resistance) has named the ruling mullahs in Iran as the god father of ISIS. They think that ISIS in Iraq and Syria follow their path by imitating what Iranian Ayatollahs have done to their own people during the past decades

Bashar al-Assad: Game Over!!

22 May 2015

If  you ask any honest Syrian  or even any Arab who respects human rights , what is happening now in Syria, he  or she will answer  you  that this criminal has reached to his end  and should  find somewhere  to hide  not to  be arrested by his own people , especially by the armed rebels of Syria.
The more important question   what   who - will replace Assad, I will tell you that " do not worry about the future  of Syria, those heroes who fought against Assad and his savage ban more than four  years , can manage the future without any doubt !!
It was fashionable during the early phase of the Syrian revolution to predict Basharal-Assad's demise. But when the Syrian president defied all expectations and hung on to power at all cost, including hundreds of thousands of casualties, his detractors stopped forecasting.
With  no hesitation, Syria has entered a new phase  . is it truly the beginning of the end for Assad and his decades.
The latest and retreat of Assad's forces from two key cities is a sign of more  other defeats to come. The triumph of a new coalition of opposition parties in Idlib was another singe of the final victory of the Syrian revolution as well.
Assad regime has lost its capacity to regroup its broken army, to deploy and recuperate its loses, whether geographic, civilian or military, have further demoralized its army over recent weeks and months.
After four years, the fighting has finally taken its toll on the regime's military potential, It's exhausted, it's dispirited and it's poorly equipped.
Assad has lost much of his power when he failed to deter or scare people into submission in the first few months of the uprising ,and once he used force and failed to defeat his enemies, and then failed again when using terrible and illegal violence against civilians and fighters alike, it all signaled that his time was up, and the countdown had started for his demise.
Assad has loosed  his back
Moscow and Tehran have long supported Assad, Russia suspects Iran cares less about the survival of Syria than the survival of its Syrian allies.
But Iran has a strategic problem of its own . Iran has no oil income to feed Assad any more.  Tehran considers Iraq its Ukraine and could eventually sacrifice Assad for greater use concessions there.  And beyond that, Iranian Ayatollahs confront a powerful opposition named MEK,  Mujahedin-e-Khalgh  who has  brought the Iranian ayatollahs to the edge of collapse by revealing  their nuclear project . The economic sanctions on Iranian ayatollahs has put fire on their oil income and that is why they cannot pay their  Arab mercenaries in Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen and Syria as usual, therefore the situation in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen  is completely different from what it was in 2014. In Iraq  Iranian ayatollahs have not Nouri Almaleki  to execute Iranian plans , in Lebanon  you have a well-equipped  army , armed with French armaments with a ten year  guarantee at least  who can confront Hezbollah, In Yemen you have Saudi Arabia with 12 other countries in the regional coalition forces  to sweep up Iran and her Huthis, and etc.
AfterAssad

No doubt  that  the  end  of old Assad dictatorship  is being prepared and the building of a new  Syria is in hand.
Most Syrians have come to this conclusion but they need  to unify  their forces  to  give the criminal  the deathblow  to put  him  aside.
